Same principle as the Archimedes Screw that was invented thousands of years ago, After the material is classified through a rotating half inch screen the material drops into the riffles and the gold settles to the bottom, the lighter material is washed out and down a backup sluice box while the heavier gold is caught in the Reverse Helix and deposited out the top into your gold pan...........Easy,Fast,You Will Be Amazed ! |
Javelina Reverse Helix Trommels Higher Production and Faster Gold Recovery
When you shovel materiel into the hopper a sprayer washes it down into a round 1/2"classifying screen (inside barrel) where the larger rocks are separated from the smaller Gold bearing material. The classified material drops down into the outer barrel which has many feet of Reverse Helix, while the Trommel turns and washes, the gold works its way to the bottom of the Reverse Helix Ribbon, the lighter material is washed out and sent through a sluice box while the Gold is trapped in the Helix and is working its way up and into your gold pan. |
